Phone Leak: LG Set To Bring A New Android Phone With Monster Battery

Xfinity Mobile, the Comcast's new phoneservice, has an amazingly minimal phone lineup. There are a few iPhone models, a couple Samsung Galaxy handsets, and a $132 LG phone from 2016, the LG X power.

Well, it seems LG now have something new to offer: the LG X Charge, which beats the X Power's 4,100mAh battery with a monster 4,500mAh battery.

Aside from the battery and X charge feature, there's nothing impressive about this phone. It runs Android 7.0 Nougart on an unspecified 1.5GHz octa-core processor, has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and 802.11n Wi-Fi. A 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 screen is your portal to this low-end experience.

At least the phone is not very thick: 8.4mm is slimmer than most of Motorola's attempts at big battery phones.

But, we don't know the most important stat yet: PRICE. If Xfinity charges much more than $200, it would be a crime, but it's hard to deny that an Android phone with "all weekend" battery life is compelling, no matter how pitiful its specifications are.
Disclosure: Comcast is an investor in Vox Media, The Verge’s parent company.
