Zimbabwe's President Appoints Former Military Commander As 2nd VP

Zimbabwe State-run media is reporting that new Zimbabwean President has appointed the country's former military commander as one of his two Vice Presidents.

This report is raising concerns and fears among some in the nation aboutthe military's close ties with Mnangagwa who took over from Mugabe after Chiwenga led a military takeover. Mugabe was at the time, the World's oldest head of state who had spent 37 years in power.

The Zimbabwe Herald Newspaper is reporting that the 2nd other Vice President is former state security minister Kembo Mohadi.

Mnangagwa over the weekend appointed both Chiwenga and Mohadi as Vice Presidents of the ruling Zanu-PF party.
