Fined In SA? You Can Now Pay Bitcoin!

A traffic fines Administrator in Alberton, South Africa has started accepting fine payments in Bitcoin from Drivers in the country who wish to pay in cryptos.

The service permits clients to receive price quote in Bitcoin for paying fines which are quoted in rand by the South African traffic Police. The transfer will be done in local currency (Rand) to the authorities as with other payments.

Cornelia Van Nierkek, the owner of Fines 4 u said she has been following the cryptocurrency since June this year. And believes the value of the digital currency will increase despite the short term depreciation during the process.

As you can imagine, not many are willing to part with their beloved cryptocurrencies given its rising value to fiat everyday.
Since starting the payment acceptance, she is yet to complete any fine payments in BTC.

But the advert has indeed caused a lot of buzz for the company, and has attracted a lot of people who want to learn about the use of BTC in the country.
