Enyeama: Good Move or Not?

Former Super Eagles captain and Lille of France goal keeper, Vincent Enyeama is on the move again. He is set to join French club Angers SCO  in January.

Enyeama, who recently returned to action for Lille’s U-18s in a French fourth-tier division game early this month after spending seven months out due to a knee injury, is expected to replace Angers SCO’s second choice goalkeeper Mathieu Michel who is close to a return to Ligue 2 side Nimes Olympique.

According to a report on French website, Sportune.fr, Angers SCO must splash €500,000 to €1m to land Enyeama who has 18 months left on his current deal with Lille.
Enyeama’s return to club football action six months to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia may reignite calls for his return to the Super Eagles squad with the trio of Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Francis Uzoho not inspiring confidence.
Angers are currently 19th in the Ligue 1 table with 18 points from 19 games. It remains to be seen whether this move will put the goalkeeper on the plane to Russia.
