Man City V Tottenham: Real Reason for Silva's absence

When the team sheets came out on Saturday for the big match in the Premier League, there were many raised eyebrows.
Why David Silva missed Man City's clash vs Tottenham
In midweek, David Silva put in a sublime performance for Man City as they won 4-0 at Swansea however, David Silva was a surprise absentee from Manchester City’s matchday squad for their clash with Tottenham.

The Spain international has been one of Pep Guardiola‘s key players this season and was expected to keep his place for the match against Spurs at the Etihad Stadium. But Silva misses out as Guardiola makes three changes to the side that started in the 4-0 win over Swansea City on Wednesday night.
Ilkay Gundogan, Leroy Sane and Kyle Walker return to Guardiola’s starting XI, while Bernardo Silva and Danilo drop to the bench. According to City and Guardiola, David Silva is sidelined due to ‘a personal issue’.

City sealed a comfortable 4-1 victory over Tottenham to extend their lead to 14 points at the

top of the Prmier League. Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring before Kevin De Bruyne
doubled City’s lead. Raheem Sterling then struck twice to put the game beyond Spurs, who

grabbed a late consolation through Christian Eriksen.
