Euthanasia:Assisted Suicide; To Allow Or Not To Allow

‘Help me’, he said with pain written all over his face. You know there’s no further help to be given, well except painkillers which he has already taken a little more than the prescribed dose.


You’re the only one with power to help, but you know there isn’t any to give.

A thought quickly flashes through your mind, end the pain and misery he is feeling, also reduce the financial burden he is currently putting on his family members; end his life. After all, he is going to die eventually.

Euthanasia, gotten from the Greek words ‘eu’ and ‘thanatos’ means literally good death  and is also referred to as ‘mercy killing’.

There are proponents and opponents to the idea of killing ‘mercifully’ a terminally ill individual who is either in a vegetable state, in coma, or suffering excruciating pain.
