Snapchat forced to pull down stupid Ad about Rihanna and Chris Brown

SnapChat one of the biggest social media Network was forced to pull down an Advert that many called to be offensive and promoting domestic violence.

The offensive advert in question was asking its users if they would rather "slap
Rihanna " or "punch Chris Brown".


The advert, was a reference to Brown's 2009 conviction for physically assaulting his then-girlfriend, which was "reviewed and approved in error".

However, the offensive advert has since been pulled down after it attracted series of negative reactions and comments on social media.
Brittany Packnett, an American activist
condemned the social media network for approving an ad that "makes light of domestic violence"

Although the advert has been pulled down and Snapchat spokesperson has come out to tender general apology to the audience.

The Snapchat spokesperson said:
"The ad was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines. We immediately removed the ad last weekend, once we became aware. We are sorry that this happened."
The advert has since been pulled down.
